Filipinos need a schengen visa to travel to Spain. Here are some tips to get you started.

IMPORTANT: These are steps taken to get a Spain schengen visa within UAE.

1. Book your appointment

I personally prefer booking my visa application appointment first before gathering the required documents. Depending on how long you can gather yours, I booked my appointment 1 month ahead of my appointment schedule.

2. Gather the required documents

The required documents are listed in this pdf file. They explained it better than me so you can just click the link to look into the list.

3. Show up on your appointment date

This is the easy part. All I did was show up, give my documents, pay the fees and smile for the picture. :D but seriously I was in that room for less than 30 mins. When I got to the place, the security at the door have the list of scheduled applicants during the day.

He let me inside the application room and gave me a token and it only took 5 mins before my number was called.

I went to the first window and this step is all about your documents, they will ask about the purpose of your trip,etc etc. and they will check if you have all the required documents.

Then I went on to the second window for the payment. I paid 234 AED + delivery fee, after that you will be sent to the 3rd and last window for your picture and finger print scan.

After completing all of these things you're done and your visa will arrive within a week.

I applied for my visa on Thursday and I got it on Monday the following week.
